Apply for Financial Assistance
|
|
|
Washington University offers many scholarships and grants to
students who demonstrate financial need. In addition, the
Academic Scholarship and Fellowship Programs offer financial assistance
based solely on academic achievement.
|
|
To apply for Need-Based Financial Assistance:
|
|
File either Washington University's
Family Financial Profile (FFP-EZ) or the CSS PROFILE:
|
|
FFP-EZ: Washington University offers
a free, simple alternative called the FFP-EZ. The FFP-EZ may be submitted
online or you may access the
printable form.
CSS-PROFILE: If you are applying to
several colleges and universities, you may want to consider filing the
CSS-PROFILE, available
online through the College Board. Our school code is 6929.
|
|
Submit a Noncustodial Parent's Statement
If your parents are divorced or separated, complete the Noncustodial Parent's
Statement. You may either complete the form
online or access the
printable form.
|
|
Once our office receives this information, we will consider
your family's financial circumstances. Your Financial Assistance Award is based
on the information you and your parents provide on the FFP-EZ and/or the CSS
PROFILE. Washington University uses this information to estimate the amount
your family can pay toward your educational expenses.
Your award is a formal commitment by Washington University, as long as the
FFP-EZ or CSS PROFILE information is generally consistent with information
provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and federal income tax return. If you choose to attend Washington University,
we will ask you to submit the FAFSA and signed federal income tax returns in order to
complete your file.
